Welcome to Bee Libertarian
Bee Libertarian is an independent publication offering commentary on California and national politics through a libertarian lens. Our goal is simple: explain the issues, challenge government overreach wherever it appears, and encourage thoughtful civic engagement.
Rather than telling readers what to think, we aim to explain why issues matter to individual liberty, free markets, and limited government—providing the facts and context so you can reach your own conclusions.
Why I Created Bee Libertarian
Political parties ask people to vote.
I believe it is more important to think.
That is why I created Bee Libertarian instead of Vote Libertarian.
No political party has a monopoly on good ideas—or bad ones. Every party has candidates and policies worth supporting, and others worth questioning.
To me, libertarianism is not just a political party. It is a way of looking at the world.
Does this increase individual liberty, or does it give more power to government?
That question applies to taxes, housing, free speech, education, regulation, criminal justice, property rights, public records, and countless other issues.
The goal of Bee Libertarian is not to tell you what to think. It is to explain why an issue matters, provide context that may be missing from the headlines, and encourage independent thought.
Many articles focus on California politics because that is where I live and where I have spent years advocating for government transparency and individual liberty. Others explore national issues, economics, free markets, and the real-world effects of public policy.
You will not agree with every article I write—and that is perfectly fine. A free society depends on people thinking for themselves, not simply following a party or a politician.
Being libertarian is more than belonging to a political party. It is believing that free people, making voluntary choices, generally produce better outcomes than government making those choices for them.
That is the spirit behind Bee Libertarian.
Welcome—and thanks for reading.
